Guided Day Events : Kayaking

Kayaking
Float down the Verde River and discover a scenic and relaxing desert oasis. While floating this class 1 river you are surrounded by spectacular, unobstructed 70-mile views into 4 different mountain ranges. Until recently the Yavapai Indians have kept this stretch of river closed to visitors, under special permission they have unlocked this pristine section of river for us to enjoy. Flowing from the mountains in Northern Arizona, the Verde River is captured by two dams and released for use by Phoenicians and farmers year-round. This ensures that the water level is ideal for our floats for the entirety of our busy tourist season .The reliable source of water attracts a variety of wild life, making it common for us to enjoy close encounters with animals enjoying their natural habitat. Some favorites include; groups of wild horses ambling along the riverbanks, Great Blue Herons and the majestic Bald Eagle hunting for prey!
